How I became a Divorce Mediator
I am a divorce mediator, because I got divorced.
The Mediation One Difference
I’m Kent Peterson, Mediator/CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst). As each client couple and I work together to design their Parenting Plan, division of assets and debt, future budgets and all other issues of the divorce, the couple is able to make important, informed decisions with my assistance and financial projections. At no additional cost, I am able to show them a clear picture of their financial future, after divorce.
That is the Mediation One difference.
I experienced the positive effect of good divorce planning myself. After more than two decades of marriage, my wife and I divorced with three children and like most divorcing couples, were afraid of an uncertain future. When we were introduced to divorce mediation, we were impressed with the mediator’s focus on family relationships, and the efficiency and low cost of the process.
After our divorce, I was so grateful with how mediation helped our changed family move ahead, that I did the unthinkable; I sold my investment business and trained to become a Certified Divorce Mediator and CDFA (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst).
And so, that’s how Mediation One was born.
A Divorce Mediator You Can Trust
Over the past eighteen years of mediating, I have helped many, many couples transition through this life change. I get Christmas cards from many of my past clients, and referrals from even more. If you are a past client reading this site, thank you.
